Meconet is a family-owned company with over 100 years of experience in the sheet metal business, serving global leaders in sectors such as electronics, construction, and automotive. Our Tallinn team is seeking an Accountant who is eager to grow in an international environment and take over Lead Accountant role in the next years.

As an Accountant, you will play a key role in our financial team, supporting various functions while gradually taking on more responsibility. This role is designed with a clear growth path, where you will be prepared, through internal and external training, to take over the Lead Accountant position within a few years.

Your main tasks in this position will include:

• Managing accounts payable, handling journal entries, and ensuring accurate and timely VAT reporting and Intrastat filings.
• Assisting with payroll processing, including employer payments and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
• Supporting the preparation of financial statements and contributing to the year-end closing process.
• Working closely with Meconet’s Finnish headquarters and the financial team to ensure consistency and accuracy across our operations.

Requirements:

• a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field;
• 2+ years of experience in accounting, with a strong understanding of general ledger functions, VAT reporting, and financial statement preparation;
• previous experience in accounting for a manufacturing company, including handling warehouse operations;
• fluent spoken and written English and Estonian skills.
